Hillsborough Law: It's time for bereaved families to be treated fairly.

Following the conclusion of last year’s second inquest into the Hillsborough disaster of April 1989, Andy Burnham MP, announced that he was going to call for the introduction of a ‘Hillsborough Law’. His experience of how that particular inquest was conducted and his knowledge of the fight that the Hillsborough families had to endure over a generation just to access information and find out the facts surrounding how their loved ones died left him in no doubt that changes to this country’s inquest process are needed. That’s Mother’s Day almost over, the end of another one of those dates in the calendar that we have come to dread for the last 2 and ½ years. For the past month or so, shops, pubs and restaurants have been promoting Mother’s Day, in the hope of getting business in the build up to Mother’s Day or to entice you there today. You can’t escape it, there’s a constant visual reminder wherever you go. Looking back, those not so subtle reminders were welcome, they would often give me the push to make sure I booked the restaurant or make me think, have I got all the cards that I now need to buy for Mother’s Day? For years, I’d only ever had to buy two cards, one for my Mum and one for my Nan. Af

The First Blog....

On the 28th September 2016, Love, Jasmine was registered as a charity with the Charities Commission, approximately three and a half months after we finally decided to stop dithering and commit ourselves to launching the charity in Jasmine’s name. But in reality, the charity’s inception was long before then. We just didn’t know it at the time… Our daughter Jasmine passed away at 11:58pm on 19th August 2014, a little under three and half hours after she began choking on a grape while we were on holiday in Morfa Nefyn, North Wales.
